FULL SET AT TUMBLR --> [link]
Part 3/8: John Egbert; Joke Shop Worker.
At the age of 15, instead of entering a high school, the kids of Acquariet enter a work study. They must choose a job that they will study under until they became a legal adult at 18. At which point they will be asked either to stay or leave. If asked to stay, they can decide to either continue working there, or look elsewhere for work.
In the case of John, he would work at a Joke/specialty shop. It would probably be something similar to magic man in the stuff it sells fff. I also imagine he would bring his work home with him (and by that I mean use what he's found at work to trick and prank his family and friends pretty much nonstop).
What is Acquaristuck?
Acquaristuck is pretty much me designing/maybe doing other random shit involving Homestuck characters and my original world (which is honestly more specifically a city) called Acquariet. Why? 'CAUSE I CAN AND I'VE WANTED TO FOR A WHILE OKAY DON'T JUDGE ME
Acquariet a floating city with a huge tree in the center that magically produces waterso much water in fact that most of the inner city is full of it, creating a setting similar to Venice. The outer city is more built into stone walls and, where the inner city is very well kempt and upper class-y (wow my word usage is so beautiful), the outer city is more like a ghetto.
There is a serious separation in class between the two parts of the city; those from the inner city never venture out into the outer parts, and those from the outer city would never dream of taking step into the inner.
Each part has its prejudices against the other and therefor rarely interacts.
